Course Description
The course is approximately 1 mile 3 furlongs, is oval in shape and is run right-handed. The back straight is downhill and the bend into the home straight is tight. The final 3 furlongs is a steep uphill climb. 5 furlong races begin on the extension of the home straight and is uphill all the way.

The Members Enclosure: This enclosure has the Lawn Bar which is very popular as it has a garden area overlooking the winning post. The Members Bar is fully licenced and also offers hot beef sandwiches. The Members Restaurant with views over the track, also has its own private viewing balcony. The varied � la carte menu is reasonably priced and afternoon tea is also available. Advanced booking for the restaurant is recommended.

The Tattersalls Enclosure: Within this enclosure you have access to the main Grandstand, Parade Ring and Winners Enclosure. The Rapid Lad Bar is a traditional bar offering draught beers and lagers as well as hot and cold snacks. The self service Restaurant has a varied menu from fish and chips to roast meals and daily specials. The Paddock Bar overlooks the parade ring and race track. As well as excellent views it serves quailty beers and food. Throught out the course there is also a variety of take away fast food outlets.

By Car: Follow the M62 to the A164 junction. For those travelling from York, follow the A1079, from Bridlington and Scarborough the A165 to the A1035, while from the south follow the A15, cross the Humber Bridge and join the A164

By Rail: A train service from Hull to Beverley runs every 20 minutes. The distance from the station to the course is 2 miles.
